Ingredients
6 cups day-old bread, cubed
1 cup chocolate chips
8 oz cream cheese, cubed
3 large eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Spread half of the bread cubes in the dish, then add cream cheese cubes and chocolate chips.
- Top with remaining bread cubes.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the custard evenly over the bread mixture.
- Let sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
