  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a stand mixer bowl, mix warm water or milk with yeast and honey; let sit until bubbly (5-10 minutes).
  2. Add flour, salt, and 1 tablespoon butter; knead until smooth (about 3-4 minutes). Cover and let rise until doubled (1-2 hours).
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Mix granulated sugar with cinnamon in a bowl.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle (16×14 inches), spread with remaining butter, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and chocolate.
  6. Fold in half, cut into strips, twist into knots, and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Combine melted butter with brown sugar and flour; spoon over knots.
  8. Bake for about 16-20 minutes until golden.
