- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Microwave the cream cheese until soft and set aside.
- Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, melt butter and olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (165°F). Remove from skillet.
- Lower heat to medium; sauté onions until softened, then add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Stir in chicken broth, cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet to warm through; adjust sauce consistency with more broth if needed.
