Ingredients

  • 2 green tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or preferred sweetener)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of blueberries, honey, and 1 cup of water. Heat on medium until the berries burst (about 5 minutes).
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof bowl, pressing down to extract all juice.
  3. Boil 3 cups of water in another pot, steep green tea bags for 5 minutes, then remove and let cool slightly.
  4. In a pitcher, mix brewed green tea, strained blueberry juice, and lemon juice. Refrigerate for at least one hour to chill.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
