- 1 cup salted butter, softened at room temperature
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 and 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt, for topping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter with an electric mixer until fluffy.
- Add both sugars and mix well for about 1-2 minutes.
- Incorporate vanilla extract and eggs, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until dough forms; fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into balls (about 140 grams each) and chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or freeze for up to an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Space the cookie dough balls on sheets and bake for 12-16 minutes. Cool before serving.
