- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup whole-grain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon (zested and juiced)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Olive oil (for baking)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon zest and juice, minced garlic, egg, oregano, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Mix until just combined.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
