Ingredients
- 1 small seedless watermelon
- 8 oz dark chocolate (or milk chocolate)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)
- Sea salt (to taste)
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, or chili powder
Instructions
- Wash the watermelon thoroughly and slice it into wedges or round slices about an inch thick.
- In a heatproof bowl, combine the chocolate and coconut oil. Melt using a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
- Dip each watermelon piece by holding it by the rind, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
- Immediately sprinkle optional toppings on the melted chocolate before it sets.
- Place the dipped pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for later enjoyment.
