Ingredients
- 4–5 lbs St. Louis or Baby Back Ribs
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 teaspoons chipotle chili pepper seasoning
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 3/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (or alternative)
- Soda (for moisture)
Instructions
- Mix seasoning ingredients (onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and chipotle seasoning) in a small bowl.
- Cut ribs in half and rub seasoning mix over both sides.
- Place seasoned ribs into a slow cooker.
- In another bowl, combine barbecue sauce, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and remaining chipotle seasoning; pour half over ribs.
- Add soda around the ribs for moisture.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours or high for 6 hours until tender.
- Transfer ribs to a baking dish; apply remaining sauce.
- Preheat grill to medium flame; grill ribs for 10-15 minutes to achieve char.
